looks amazing but cant you hide the heater behind the wood on the left?

i know, its really horrible. the wood rests against the glass otherwise it would have gone down there. The reason it's there is because otherwise the tank doesnt get heated properly. what im hoping is that the middle plants will grow high enough to hide it behind that, but if i put them there at the moment then they stop the plants from growing. I will try and put up a better quality photo at the weekend

I have the same fluval design filter with heater and I upgraded the stock heater to a fluval 200W. Works great now

you have the same filter? and what kind of prices do the heaters go for. I'm getting some more fish at the weekend (it's my birthday on tuesday which is why im getting so much stuff) but im still on a budget.

I actually have the smaller sized juwel filter but the same design. My heater was an old one so not a clue of the price.
You can buy a 300W Interpet one now for around £18 (Seapets)

I dont wanna sound mean but, what was the point in you mentioning that you have the same filter and heater. there may or may not be a genuine reason why, i juts wanna know because im getting confused (I AM NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE!) oh and did you add anything extra in your juwel filter? ive just got the standard stuff it came with along with some filter floss.

Looking really good, will look even better when the plants are established and growing well. My only comments would be that if the plants at the left front of the tank are Hygrophilia then they will quickly reach the the surface and obscure most the left side of the tank. And on a personal preference, maybe a bit of a lawned area somewhere, maybe dwarf hair grass.

yh, i usually trim it once a week, i was going to put the trimmings by the wood on the left but im not doing that anymore so i need to trimand take some of the clippings out of the substrate. And thanks, i knew the tank was missing something. I tried to grow dwarf baby tears but because the substrate is fluval stratum it just floated to the surface. Do you have any tips on how to plant the hair grass and where would you put it in the tank?

Looks great! But, I think I see a terrestrial in the middle, behind the wood. Green with white edge on the leaves, looks like a Dracena species. Its a houseplant. Won't last underwater.
