Opinion on tiger barbs

So basically I bought the tank second hand that guy said it was a 20 and I believe him but I measured today and found it was in fact a 29

Great,I don’t have space for a 32
As others have already stated, you are really going to limit yourself if TB's are the only fish you are considering.

There are MANY other options to stock a 29G tank with, and you could have a community setting with different fish, instead of a species-only tank, which is the best way to keep TBs, IMO

Other than that swordtail the tiger barbs are alone , I just like tiger barbs so I fine without a community setting

I have 6 Tiger Barbs in my 29 gallon along with a Bolivian Ram, one surviving peppered cory, and a BN pleco. The Bolivian Ram actually schools with the Tiger Barbs sometimes. I had 8 Tiger Barbs at one time but two died. The Barbs swim from one end of the tank to the other and then reverse direction. Tiger Barbs are very active and a fun fish to watch.

Heavily planted, or heavily scaped?

It’s a work in progress
