I just had a thought. The filter filters 40 gph, so in a 2.5 gallon tank that means it filters the whole tank 16 times in an hour. Woot. Thats almost 2 gallons every other minute. O.O

EDIT: Dang it. I just bought one. I'm thinking I'll take that plastic mesh stuff and cut it to fit over top... man. Don't show me these things!

I'm curious... the site says its a 2.5 gallon, but the calculator that I plugged the 13x8x8 in told me that would be a 3.6 gallon?

Wow that is a really nice tank. Mine are set up kind of like that except more DIY. Mine are little plastic containers about 3 gallons and theres clip on lamps with flourescent bulbs above both and a heater that heats tanks from 2-15 gallons. And now in my females tank I have live plants. Woo hoo, cant wait for the bulbs to sprout. A really nice tank, I wish I could get a filter like that one for both of my tanks. If anyone knows a cheap filter like that one, give me a PM.

I was using US gallons, as Fostersmith is a US based company, right? I mean, ... Yeah, so wouldn't they have it measured in US gallons if they live in the us? Either way, my one remaining girl Flame will be going in it when it gets here, as right now she's all alone and taking her frustrations at the loss of her tankmates out on the Platy's. Plus, I was thinking of getting some Gouramis to go in my 30 gallon. or maybe actually try some platy breedings and whatnot.

ITS HERE ITS HERE!!! Woot! I wish they hadn't been sold out of the blue, but the red color is quite pretty as well, and I bet Flame and James will probably look georgous in it. It's approximately 2.7 US gallons, so If I do decide to divide it it would be okay. I'll get pics of my setups once I move out of the one room that I'm renting and into an actual apartment
