Only Feeding Every Other Day?

I only feed my fish every other day and I think it works great, my fish are alot more active, not only at feeding time but all the time cos they hunt in the substrate for food.

I do worry sometimes that its not enough but I can over feed so easily i think they are better off this way.

No, eerr, actually the mention of portion size was made by me. And I still think it's a pretty crucial part of the equation. Dumping a massive amount of food in the tank every other day will still lead to water problems, because it will start going off before they can eat it. Hence my suggestion to actually count out portion sizes for the first few times to give a visual idea of what a suitable portion looks like. I sometimes do this again just to check on myself as I notice that my portion sizes tend to increase over time if I don't keep a grip on myself.

i use to feed 2 times small doses no i feed once a day

i feed once daily, and every 2 or 3 days i miss a day.

I like the idea of not feeding too much.

I try and feed my fish randomly. It keeps the tank clean as well as they have to search for any food they have missed when I've fed them and keeps them on their fins as to when they might next get fed!
