One Year On..

Hi All,

So it's been a year for me now since I started my aquarium hobby! Wow have I had lots of changes!!

1st:
My Arcadia eclipse 35l tank.. as a very newbie-

Ahhh.. I was young in knowledge then.. lol

So of course I upgraded within 2 weeks.. to Rio 125.. This was the first scape.. (of many)

And of course this was not good enough.. so after spending tonnes and tonnes of £ and time and lots of months..



This is the present day:

And as follows:


Sub-tropical Tank.. River/Forest style.. (my attempted)

Temp:

23c

Fish

x9 Danios (mixed)
x6 Cherry Barb
x1 Male Guppy
x1 Fantail
x3 Hillstream Loach

x3-4 Shrimp

Plants:

x1 Anubis (on wood)
x1 Pogostemon helferi
x1 Microsorum pteropus Windelv (on wood)
x4-5 Hygrophila corymbosa - (grows nice and often, lots of stems lovely plant able to replant in other places)
x2-3 Vallisneria americana (only recently added this plant (this weekend), to the left end of tank.. should grow out soon)
x1 Microsorum Pteropus (on wood)
x3 Moss balls
x2 Bacopa

x6-8 rocks - added this weekend (as I have hillstream loaches)

Substrate:

Black gravel
Dorest pea gravel
Fine black/green gravel

Filter:

TetraTec EX700
Juwel Internal Filter


Ohh and of the original fish that I first got I still have 3 with me today

He has a beautiful tail.. you can kind of see how its grown length wise..

The background came with the tank which was from seapets. They should still have it

Really nice to see the progress You can definitely grow plants, all lovely and pretty.

Is it wrong to say that I actually love the gravel in the first tank? It's so pretty and girly with a bit of kitsch thrown in.

As for the first tank gravel, the tank was originally in my room which kind of has a red/orangey/cream- ish theme going on thats why I had the red/white gravel! Lol but it soon got moved to the living room and then when I realised this tank way too small.. within 2 weeks I had the Rio in order lol
