I was just looking at my betta in my 1g (I played a game of musical bettas and took one of the bettas from divided 2.5g and swaped it with the betta in the 1g a few days ago) well the betta the betta thats in the 1g now, from what it looks like to me, is trying to jump out of the tank because he starts looking at the water surface then he jumps and is able to stick his whole head out of the water but has not been able to hit lid, from what I could hear, so is this normal or is he trying to get out?

I wouldn't advise swapping betta's around if the same water you are setting yourself up for desease.
No point asking for water stats as you haven't any, try a water change.

How could I set them up for disease when they seem perfectly fine? Or are you saying that if it stressed them out it could lower their immune system setting them up for disease? I have read on here of people like synirr and other people playing musical bettas.

Well if a betta becomes ill during the change, it could of been because that betta was already suffering from something, them the other betta gets it through swapping them about.

Well now the betta that was in the 1g but is now in the divided 2.5g is doing the same thing only with him he is able to get all but his back tail out of the water and only seems to do it when the other betta is on the other side is next to him. Whats going on now?

I guess I'm becoming Synirr's mouthpiece while she's out, but she says she does NOT play musical bettas. Ever.

Sorry I guess I was thinking of someone else but thought it was her, tell her I'm sorry. :*)

Basically, a complete change of environment will stress a fish out period. Bear in mind that Bettas are territorial fish whether there is anyone to be territorial with or not :p
