Maybe it has them in it. Are you talking about the Francis Ford Coppola movie called Rumble Fish? It is at least 20 years old, and I don't think it is about fish specifically

its was showing wild type one's being fighted in japan or where ever they do it then the winner breeding with a female and watching the eggs hatch and fry learn to swim.
and info on them.

i have a dvd on bettas lol but its just called breeding and careing for bettas

Think thats the one! I've never seen it though. Just had a look and its 1983 - Thats older then me

I read that one of the characters was inspired by his betta to do something.. Not sure what it was he wanted to do, i dread to think
