I'm pretty sure that is a female.

My avatar is a pic of my orange flash. The males color is so bright it seems to glow.

As far as the shyness goes, she will be that way for about a week, then she will come out more.

Bear in mind that they do spook easily. Sometimes you have to approach the tank slowly.

Here is a pic of my male and female. My female is MUCH younger/smaller that my male, her colors might get a litter better when she gets older.

Thanks. Then either i have a female or a young male. Im going with female. Ohhh well, if i ever see a male i might pick on up, assuming she fights off what ever is on her eye ( third day of treatment, and no imporvment). I have to say, those are some good quality guppies. I ahvent had any die over night, besides the fact they were in a ice cream bucket for 4 hours sitting in ther eown pee, poop and water. Wich probably had low oxygen content. The males look AMAZING. The 2 HUGE females look ready to drop any day.

^ thanks. Im afriad the med isnt working! Im about to cry im so upset ( well, not really cry, but you get the idea!). It is the 4th day of treatment ( only 5 days worth of med) and she sint doing any better. She has problems finding food cuz of her eye. She sometimes thinks that air bubles are food because she cant see it with both eyes.

Thoose guppies look loverly, i have some guppies that large too. Your tank needs a clean though young man!

lol, i cant help that algea. I cant keep a pleco in there, and the tank faces a window, so in comes the sun, an dthne the algea grows. I dont want to use chemicals though. I do use a algea pad. If you have any suggestions on a small algea eater, let me know!

Tips for algae:
- dont overstock.
- scrape it off the glass
- get some hardy plants like java moss. they will help outcompete the algae
- lessen the amount of time the lights are on
- buy a UV steriliser
- do more water changes
- dont overfeed

thanks, but most of those i eitehr cant afford or i dont do:

i dont over stock
i scrape it off the glass
i do ahve javamoss, but it dosent thrive in my tank ( i have no idea why)
i will do that!
i have no money for a UV sterilizer
i'll consider it, water is quite expensive ( according to my mom!)
i dont over feed

Try feeding less anyway, it won't hurt.
Attach the java moss to a rock or piece of wood with thread or something.
It takes a while but once it starts to go it will keep growing and growing and growing.
I had a golf ball sized portion in my 29 gallon and 6 months later it's everywhere.
Also try hornwort or anarcharis.

^ I will. Alos, i've had that Java Moss for about 8 months, and it came in a ball, and now its even smaller than it started out! I dont know why. I cant really keep plants! I do ahve a old Amazon Sworddplant, but there isnt enough strong light for it to grow, i've had it for forever, but there isnt much there.

$50 is alot to some people! fair enough if your an adult and have a job then it's nothing, but to a kid thats ALOT of money!

only heard good things about ottos as great algae cleaners too

^ yeah, for me, 50 dollars means :

Working for about 3 weeks ( have to take my tithe out of my money, 10 percent), then no being a kid( thats right, no movies, shopping, or ANYTHING), all saved up for a sterilizer, then i have to LOCATE one, or buy online, plus shipping and handling, no waayyyy can i save up for that. I can barley, just barley provide for my fish in the begging.
