I'm afraid I remember quite clearly the first Doctor Who, William Hartnell who was probably my favourite as he didn't try to be funny.

Now I'm going to be singing Champion the Wonder Horse for the rest of the day

Wow, they are all a wee bit early for me :)

I got the pleasure of growing up before the godawful teletubbie era thank god!

I enjoyed Bagpuss, Clangers, Noggin the Nog, Ivor the Engine, Thomas the Tank Engine (old style and it was epic! lol im a tomboy :D ), Spider In The Bath, Stoppit & Tidy Up...

Think I caught the tail end of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers as well :X can thank my brother for those...

But the Racoons and Cyril Sneer LOL was awesome! And now I cant get the "sharky.... and george! crime busters of the sea!" theme out of my head!

Anyone remember the film 'The Last Unicorn'? I used to love that! But the red bull used to scare me into hiding lol

Oh those were the days of good TV.

I remember them all, was beginning to think that there wasn't any oldies on this site. My favourite was land of the giants on Saturday tea times. Saw it again a couple of years ago and it was s***

Oh, I'm so jealous of the people who got to watch William Hartnell! I've seen them all now (apart from the missing ones, of course), but I wish I'd been there at the beginning. I would have been able to remember {i]Marco Polo[/i] *sighs*

I've got Champion the Wonder Horse stuck in my head too now, so thanks for that!

I too love Bagpuss, The Clangers, Ivor the Engine; also Mr Benn and Noggin the Nog :)

My earliest TV memories:
Monday - Picture Book
Tuesday - Andy Pandy
Wednesday - Bill and Ben
Thursday - Rag Tag and Bobtail
Friday - The Woodentops

That was all we had in the way of children's programmes back in the 1950s

You know how people always ask what were you doing when you heard President Kennedy had been shot? Mine's TV related. I was furious because they cancelled Bonanza just become some American was dead. I was only 10, and politics hadn't entered my consciousness at the time. My parents had to explain to me that this was much more important than an episode of Bonanza.

Edit - I remember William Hartnells' Doctor Who. I watched from the very first episode. I've only ever seen it that once, the Doctor and his granddaughter Susan, and the 2 teachers who went to visit her 'parents' and accidentally got whisked off in the Tardis. Then the second adventure in the stone age........

i remember the gentle touch, my fave childhood programe was the wombles and of course bagpuss, i also remember portland bill :D

Dastardly and Mutley and the wacky races lot!! Now that was proper kids tv

I remember most of the stuff listed but how about ...

It's 5pm, it's Friday, it's time for 'Crackerjack!'

Slightly more adult themed but you know what I miss the most

The Kenny Everett Show and The Young Ones .... it's all in the best possible taste lol
