Currently I am in college, but before that I have kept many freshwater fish. I was looking though boxes and boxes of equipment and chemicals. I came across a "Freshwater Master Test Kit". It still has the wrapper on it still too! It is from Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Inc. . I was wondering if I could still use this. It is roughly 7 months old. Is it no good anymore? Will it work on Saltwater Tanks?

This test kit tests for:
pH
High Range pH
Ammonia
Nitrate
Nitrite

It would be a shame if it isnt good anymore.
If it is off a bit. Can I test it to something that is accurate and use that as a balance?

you should google this one... but one im quite sure of is Ammonia.. it probably wont work.. when I started with salt water... i had lots of fresh water tests.. only ones that still worked 2 my liking was no2 and no3

Thanks Ter. I did google it, but found nothing. I'll have to wait for some more responces.

SOME kits will work, but I forget which ones. The other ones use the same chemicals but a different color scale for saltwater. BTW, API nitrate kit is notoriously un-reliable :(
