That's perfectly normal, it's just the way the system works.Sorrell said:Ok, does anyone know if aquabid employees are allowed to bid on fish as well? I have a number of auctions up right now, and there is one person who keeps outbidding me $1 over what I set my max no matter how obscure. None of these auctions have been bumped up, just the person's first bid is $1 over what I set.
For example, I set a max at 26.52, they bid 27.52. Now, how would they do this to the exact number without bumping it at all? The only person who knows what I am bidding is Julie, so who is this? If it is an aquabid employee or whatever is that really fair? Kind of takes away from the "auction environment" if you ask me...
Am I being sensitive, or do you guys agree?
P.S. If the person who's outbidding me is here...I will not stop, so you might as well
Example.
Bid is at 25.05
I bid 50.00
The price that appears on the screen is 1.00 over what the last bidders max bid was. So if his max bid was 25.05, the bid will only show up as 26.05, instead of 50.00.
Say if I now bid on this auction that shows the price at 26.05, and I bid 30.00. It will say I have been outbid and the auction price will show as 31.05. Get it?
Also forgot to add. On aquabid they have a feature that should not be allowed. If you look under bid history, you can see the prices when raised, as opposed to ebay, the bid history is kept private until the auction closes.
