Did yu ever get a picture of the thing? Greeen zoa like thing that's hard could possibly be a macro algae. An Acetabularia species.

Well Im ok now Sorry no freebies for anyone!

Well it is solid white and the heads (only 2 are showing) look like zoas but are a very pale pink with a greeny mouth in the middle. Really excited about them actually!

No, definitely not a macro algae. Thought sometimes members of the genus Acetabularia can be confused for zoas.

I had something very similar once in my last marine but it was brown and it never opened it just shrunk then grew etc for a year or two then I sold the tank

I think it was a filter feeder like valve feeding thing like a sea squirt thing but unsure

I thought it was a sponge but the ends open like a zoa.it gradually grew and grew from nothing and then i saw it had heads lol.
