African cichlids can be cool in a tank. They are very beautiful. Same for South American cichlids. Maybe some oscars or Jack Dempseys. Another one of my favorite is to have a bunch of schooling fish in a planted tank. Like if you have a heavily planted, maybe even aquascaped tank with like 100 neon tetra, that would be beautiful. Obviously 100 was an exaggeration, but you get the idea. If you have a large enough tetra or small Barb like a cherry Barb, you could have something like some Electric Blue Acaras. And boy would that POP! I could go on all day. That is why I can’t decide what I want in my tank. I have too many choices. But I hope you make one that and your mom will enjoy.

A totally 100 isnt an exaggeration. You could safely have 100 in a 55 gallon of that was the only type of fish

I wish! It dosent have a stand and we measured it's just 2 inches too long to go where she wanted it next to her bathtub so we decided nope I kinda wanna get it and just store it until I can blow a few hundred dollars to get it going

How bout you put your 55 gallon near the bathtub and the 75 gallon where the 55 gallon was previously. Just tell mom you will take care of it and also take care of the 55 gallon if she buys the stand, filter, heater lid , light etc.

That would be cool, the 75 is the same length as the 55 though, just taller and deeper

My mom just said she wants it and would pay me to maintain it for her. Score if it happens am I right? Lol I hope so. She actually really likes fish too, but not to the same extent. She had bettas at her wedding (300 of them) and has always wanted a big tank next to her bathtub
