Fish Herder
Hi all,
Today me and my mom went on our usuall shopping every other week. I got home and went into my atic bedroom, and to my horror I see my acrilic betta tank on the floor and water everywhere! I quickly ran over and saw both of the fish that were in there on the floor, my thoughts go to sammy my cat, he of course did it. I asumed they were dead, so I went downstairs and asked my mom to clean it up please cause I couldent stand having to put my favorite fish ever in the toilet. So I went downstairs, heart pounding with sorrow and shock, and tryed to get my mind off it. Suddenly I here my mom, " AHHH, MEGHAN! GET A BOWL WITH WATER!" I quickly got the special dish I use for my fish tank and put water in it and ran upstairs. My mom is running down the stairs with my betta in her hands. She quickly puts him in the dish I had and leans against the wall. She told me she had picked up the bgk that I had in the tank while I got the 75 gallon ready, in the trash she could tell he definatly was dead, cause he was hard and cold. But when she picked up the betta he suddenly jerks and starts moving!
I put him in my little 1.44 gallon hexagon tank and started the air pump. He is now resting on the gravel but is doing great! I am so happy. I was so crushed when I thought he had died. His fins are not as long and flowing as they were, they are also a little ripped but atleast he is alive! I am still mad at my cat for doing that. I now keep the tank on the very top of a book shelf in my living room, and sammy doesnt even know hes there yet! Sorrowman is a survivor!!!!
As for the bgk, I will just have to get another! The one I had, had cost $15.00! It is a shame, he was a great fish.
