Congratulations, what year are you in now? year 8? Going into year 9?

Improved attendance as you were like 95% > 100%? Or? I remember getting 100% attendance for 2 years worth of school.

Yes going into year 9. My attendance is really bad.... It currently stands at 76.6%. It only went up because i only had 1 illness and 2 lates last term. Before last term it was 68.4%.

yay!!! (for both a break from school and attendance haha)

enjoy the summer girl! its a HOTT one!

Wow thats atrocious, throughout high school I got like 98-100% each year through 7 to 11. How do you manage to not be in school nearly half of the year?

If I try to imagine what I would be like if I had missed 50% of school I know I would barely know anything. There's so much out there to learn, sure it might not be fun but it sure as hell is useful and in the future you'll think back no doubt and think... "Wasted youth".

Get your #17##### in school! I'll buy you a genetically engineered dragon if you get 100%.

I had like 30/40% for the first year of Sixth form.

Haha well yeh that's different! In Sixth form I never bothered turning up for registration in the morning as most my lessons didn't start till the 2nd or 3rd block. I would usually still be having lunch at the pub my mate worked at when afternoon registration came around.

I think my total for sixth form was still around 95% is though only a few days off when I was seriously ill, though for actual attendance on registrations it was probably around 40% too.

I think my attendence on average was about 70% in the years 7-11 (it started high in year 7 then slowly declined). When I got to 6th form it shot up to high 90's cause I actually wanted to go to my lessons and wasn't being forced to do ridiculous subjects that I knew I'd never honestly need.

Don't want to turn this into a debate here...

Religious studies + Citizenship I hated. R.E fair enough we learnt about the religions and main aspects of them however most of my Citizenship lessons were literally about how to "accommodate" or "integrate" Islam into our society and nothing ever about other races or religions it really infuriated me. That an silly studies on theories that were blatantly proved incorrect.

ARRRGHH I HATED MUSIC TOO! ART as well! Mainly because both my teachers were horrible, music teacher would throw our books around and give detentions out for nothing. Art because our teacher used to rant for the first 59 minutes of the lesson then give us a minute to do our work then complain about us not doing anything the entire lesson and keep us behind nearly all lunch ranting some more.

I loved Sixth form too and loved my Physics lessons, it started off with 6 of us doing Physics at the start of the year then by the end of the first year there was just 4, 2nd yeaar there was 3 but due to a last minute decision I decided to stay at the same college and the student figure went back up to 4!

Have you got any idea what you would like to pick for year 10 Alessa? I would just suggest to pick 4 subjects that could somehow combine in certain ways. I was a bit silly an picked 4 completely different subjects and one which was a complete waste of time which was French. I have one of those GCSE things in French but to be honest when I spoke to French national in Frankfurt airport last week I couldn't understand a word of their french and we had to speak English haha.

Yeah, from 7-10 I was pretty much 100% attendance, then Year 11 we all started bunking and it went right down. Probably the reason for my terrible GCSE grades.

i love art, science, music and P.E.(sometimes)
