I've only ever seen one full grown goldfish in my life... thanks to the goldfish bowl culture.

Good job on changing her mind about what fish she would get! I am far too late to the conversation but would have suggested red wag platies as an alternative... sort of goldfish looking... in a way. LOL

Credit where credits due petsmart have a nice big warning about goldfish size and a full size picture of adult goldfish, normal breeds and fancies.
