Odd Fish Advice

camaras gone wierd

i got the tank measurements

60cm long

24cm high

30cm wide

i could shech the fish if you want

ok, if those measurements are right I make that about 43l which means really I wouldn't add anything else as your hoplo is going to get too big for that size tank anyway.

If you can sketch the fish that may help.

i got some pics there no that good though

how do i insert them

go on to tinypic.com upload the picture, once its uploaded it will say somthing like "Code for forums" , copy that code and post it in a message on this thread.

looks like an otocynclus but they only get to about 4 cm. How big is it roughly?
You are very restricted with true 'oddball' fish when you keep things such as dwarf frogs and small fish.
Hoplo's do get to a decent size and could co-habit with fish such as smaller bichirs and dwarf channa. But your frog would become something of a frenchmans favourite feast! Your tank can not realistically accomodate whats in it let alone adding more fish.
If you truely are intrested in adding anything else then you need a bigger tank like a 100 - 125 litre plus like one of the juwels or similar. Wheo you get a suitable tank me and others will be more than happy to help!

They fall into the 'plec' category, they do eat some algae and need supplementing with either algae wafers or better courgette (litterally for 1 you only need a slice say twice a week - put in at night and remove after no more than 24hrs.)

Nice little fish though quite sensitive to poor water quality.

kk thanks

so there a plec :good:

i thought they didn't need wafers the shop lied

ummm

what courgettes

also known as zucchini. Looks like a cucumber but is much more nutritious.
