I set up a 10g Tank for breeding guppies, i have 8 in there, 2 males and 6 females.

Is there any way to get them to breed? or will they just do it?

Is there a certain temperature they will breed best at? Currently its 24-25 Degrees Celcuis.

Some of the females already look pregnant, either that or theyre just fat!

Once i do get fry, i will set up another 10g tank to handle the extra guppies.

They'll breed, you don't have to touch them. :) Just feed, water change, and you'll get kiddos!

Chances are when a guppies fat: shes pregnant. Soon the question wont be: how do i get them to breed? but rather, how do i stop them breeding as the fry will start to take over.

Itll happen, patience is a virtue.

I wanted a few guppy fry aswell so i bought 2 females and 1 male,i didnt do anything different from my normal tank maintenance,i give all my fish live food twice a week....yes youve guessed it,i now have more fry than i can handle, I couldnt belive how many fry ive found over the last few months in my tank and plants,at first i was like :hyper: yipee but now i really dont hope to find any more as ive run out of people to give them too including all my local LFS

nothing needs to be done.
in a few weeks you will probably have fry
the same thing happend to me i was over run by the fry lol
good luck

signs: they will have a spot near there anal fin i think its that fin and then you can just wait till she's ready to drop her babies

good luck :good:

i've just mixed my male, titan, with the females and he's been 'at it' all afternoon! deffo didn't need to do anything there.

The best way to get guppies t breed is to feed them enough and keep them wet. The water can be anything that won't kill them and the temperature can be anywhere from about 20 to 26C. To stimulate breeding activity, put them in the same tank and get out of the way.
