Why not another fancy? It would be perfect in that tank. fancies are no messier than other goldfish, and they would outrun the other fish for food. The little oranda will get lonely

yes, that is what i'm starting to lean towards more. probably another oranda. i just meant that i knew they were messy, like all goldfish are. But I agree she will probably be happiest with another goldfish for company once the tank has dealt with cycling. I thought about a school of something else for a bit because i like active tanks and because goldfish can be solitary from what i've read, but once they get big the tank will probably look full and active. It's hard to get over planning for adult sizes with something that starts out so small and but gets so big
