my rainbow shark has developed white paches on its 3 fins is this normal

ps im a new guy so have mercy thnxs
;)

No, its not normal. Could yould you describe the patches in more detail. Are they cottony, slimey, round, dull, transparent, lumpy etc. Also could you let us know the tank size and mates and the water parameters so that we can offer you better advice. right now i would guess some kind of fungus or if they are real small white salt like patches then it would be ICH. HTH :)

That could be a fungus, ich or some other disease so it's becoming an emergency. More details asap.

It might be velvet, but that attacks the body.

Is the tail frayed? Are the patches at the end of the fin, if frayed? if so, it's fin and tail rot. if it's elsewhere then it's fungus.
