Have four guppies in my tank and they are doing ok but i have noticed the runt of the four gets picked on a little and am fairly sure his tail looks nipped as well as appearing to lose colour behind his head.

Am i correct in assuming getting a couple more would perhaps spread the aggression ?

And the main question - If i get a couple of diamond guppies will they just consider themselves the same and get along or could this create issues?

once again thanks in advance

It Depends on the size of your current guppies compared to the new guppies your going to get. Sometimes, live bearers tend to pick on their own kind for food and because of size. If the size contrast isn't that much, I'd say you could get them. Just make sure you don't overstock your tank. :)

This is like a month old......

And sorry BettaBuddy I completely disagree with you, it was probably the gender difference and ratio.

All four guppies are male and the planned diamond guppies will also be male.

so i refer to my original question.  ye or nae ?

54 litre. Tank will only house guppies and shrimp for the meantime

perhaps later a school pf corys/ottos
