Iv been told they will not breed in a tank Iv got four of them.

Nope don't have a turtle but I have always eyed them up in the store.

yeah they are cool lol we have 4 turtles one 4.5/5" cumberland slider not quite sure of sex yet but we think female as it has small claws one and that lives in the pond,one mississippi map 4.5"female lives inj tank by night pond by day as does our male false map of 5" and finally a 2" softshell turtle all these have been rescued by us miss and false got dumped outside a school in crewe the cumberland was in very poor conditions in a chain pet shop/garden centre and the softshell was kept in a plastic chinese tub with a tiny amount of mucky water so we took it in we just cant help ourselves lol but we do and have done extensive research on most species of turtles and we are currently setting up a website about turtles and fish lots of care sheets as guidelines and there is us on there most of the time for help or general queations or a laugh really

the maps are fun turtles to own they are always lively and do interact with you too but if you ever think about getting one and you have any questions about any that you have seen and thinking about getting i will help you any way possible mate
