Kenni passed away last night :-( :-( :-( :-( :( :(
He had been very sick for the past week or so, popeye on both eyes, his tumor got slightly bigger, and all he did was sit at the bottom gasping. It got worse yesterday and I knew he'd pass away. I think his tumor spread inside him and he couldn't fight it.
He was my first ever betta and got me into keeping fish.
I loved him sooooo much and will miss him.
I'll never forget him... the way he'd come up to the tank when you walked by, the way he gobbled up his food so fast, the way he was so perky, and so lovable.
Rest in peace Kenni, at least now you can swim around in the Rainbow Bridge, with no tumors, nothing to stop you.

I guess you need to change your sig now. since you no longer have 6 betta's.

Btw do you guys like cry over a packet of fishfingers?

RIP little factory processed pieces of cod. :'(

Zeo that isn't particularly helpful....
I'd personally view that as a troll, wonder what the Mods think?
Sorry to hear of your loss MO2B.

I would view that as a Troll, or flaming? Either way it was uncalled for and very childish.

Not sure on the terminology but its been reported, completely insensitive and unnesseccary.

So sorry for your loss Mommy. :-(

Ignore the troll, you've every right to be upset.

And what was the point of that?
He was my first fish and I became attached to him, and I also saw him suffering so no wonder I'm upset.
Anyways, thanks everyone. My mom said he was her favorite too, so she told me she'd buy another betta if I wanted... although I'm not so sure I'm ready yet.

Aww! I'm so sorry to hear that! It's so easy to get attached, they all have their own personalities. Kenni was my first spade-tail betta that I pixeled, so I remember how beautiful he was. RIP little guy! :rip:

I'm new here and reading posts so sorry to bump this one but I have to ask. Why do animal lovers LET their pet suffer? I mean my girl let her dumb bird suffer with a wing full of cancer. It would cry in pain for a month before it died.. Oh dear, if I mentioned putting it in a box with ether she would break up with me. But I doubt a fish can suffer

Just ignore the jerk that posted that photo. Some people have little feeling for the bond between a person and another creature AND they have even smaller brains!

If you love your pet, it doesn't matter if it's a dog, cat, horse, bird, cow, fish...you become attached to it. You actually love it and that's totally healthy for you (and the pet.)

It's jerks like "Mr. Fishfingers" that will never know what it's like to care for another with the same depth and they lose out. If it wasn't against my nature, I'd suggest that his kind be ground into "Peoplefingers." I wonder if he's ever watched the movie, "Soylent Green?"
