Nin's Tanks

I still havn't gotten pics of the killifish, sorry. Dad got some new pics of the leopard bushfish and the angels.

Does his fin look normal to ya'll? It almost looks like it has white specks on it but I'm thinking it's the light and his iridescence making it look like that but want to be sure!

Don't think I've posted any of this little one in a while. That fin was bent even when it was really tiny but it's become more obvious now that it's bigger. I hope it doesn't affect him in a negative way :/

So I realized that the leopard bushfish has part of it's gill plate missing. Again pics taken by my dad :)

Are the bumps near his lip something to be concerned about? (Just noticed the poo on the right ahaha..please do let me know if it shouldn't look like that!)

Here you can see the gill plate.

I know this thread is for pics and not to diagnose my fish. I'll make a separate topic on that if they are things I really should be concerned about. :)

I'm going to copy and paste from my 129 thread on what happened with the bushfish.

Unfortunately on 5/7 the leopard bushfish passed away. I don't know exactly why. A few days after getting him I realized part of his gill plate was missing. Later on I noticed a white dot on his head.

When it started getting worse and his belly seemed big (don't think it was overfeeding) a friend thought it could be a sign of something so I put him in a 5g and treated with Maracyn 2. On the day he was to be moved back to the (temporary) 10g, he was listing to his side, not eating, laying completely on side, and once back in the 10 he was going completely upside down. When I woke up he had already passed and my fiance had pulled him out of the tank.

He is now buried in the backyard near Tinkerbell my golden gourami and my guinea pig Chihiro. I didn't have him long but he was very cute and liked to greet me at the front of the tank. He'd eat just about anything I put in.

The fry are getting bigger, and there is another batch on it's way. I will move the decoration ASAP tomorrow when I get up. I meant to do it today but totally forgot.
Some should hatch tomorrow and most will probably be on Tuesday.

Here's a vid of them

Excellent vid Ninj :)

Like seeing them all doing little darting about in the tank

Cant help noticing, you seem to have a few batches of what looks like snail eggs on the glass. Is that right?

Thanks! I love watching them dart about :D

Yep those are snail eggs, unfortunately. That is the main contributor of poo in this tank is all the snails. I assume there is so many because of how much food goes in for the fry.
I could be there for hours picking them out one by one. I tried lettuce and that didn't really work, I need to try a strip of zucchini or cucumber to get them out next I think.

Normally I don't mind snails like this but when they're making more poo than necessary in a tank where I'm trying to raise my precious little babies then it annoys me :p I use a turkey baster to suck up as much as I can.

Took some more pics today

The fry have done some growing..and some eating of their siblings.

Been a while since I updated this. I have oodles of pics to post!

First off the 20g long. It has been rescaped and Discord has been taken out (moved to his own tank) and a female german blue ram moved in, along with 6 espei rasboras.
I will be adding 6 marbled hatchetfish too when they get out of quarantine. Okay before those pics I also organized the fish cabinet underneath it!

I love them so much I don't want them to go!

Here are the hatchetfish that will be added! They are being QT'd in our new 29g. This tank will be home to a fancy goldie or two when they get out.

Hiding in his tower. I did not see him really use it when it was in the center of the 20 long and the cories were in there. Glad he's using it again!

Now here's someone new..I saw a pic of him on FB and messaged the person to ask what color he is considered so I could look for one. He asked why look for one when he's for sale?
Unfortunately he is in the 5g that I hate but will move to the peacock gudgeon fry's 10g when they are moved out. Meet..Frosty the betta!

Okay NOW everything is updated :3

That one albino BN you posted the pic of asking the sex....that one is male.  See how the bristles go up the center of his face?  That is a male trait.  Females even the ones with lots of bristles only have them around the lips and do not have them going up the head or face.
