I have dimmable cold cathode tubes, but I rarely turn them on lol.
I also use Blue LED strips, but they come in a range of colours and costs. I have put a link below for the ones purchased for my 100cm wide tank, these were a three set but you can buy singles and doubles. I am really pleased with them, they give give a soft bluish light which allows you see all the nightime activity, it also looks pretty coolls as well.
