which forum?

i just read a post in a newt forum about warty newts and they said they are hardy but keep **below** 23. and that theyre temp tolerant. doesnt mean theyre not happier at lower temps i have also read from people who have kept them for years and successfully bred them a few times saying the temps i quoted.
proberly the same forum, as I go to.

My newts happy, he even been yawning, witch shows contentment, with his enviroment.

My animals are happy, I'm happy. :D

i think its ALSO because of lack of oxygen so the brain tells you to yawn to get more axygen. (thats why its usually done in water)

if the temp of your water is like that naturally (without a heater) then that temp is okay as if you use things like water bottles with ice in then it makes the temp constantly changing so thats not good for them.

if you are using a heater then i would recomend not using it as they PREFERE cooler temps.

u do need a liscense to keep uk born newts as some of them are protected like the great crested newt bu these are not tropical anyway
a firend of mine has a newt which is brown and is in his tropical aquarium and it has come from south america so they can be kept

-_- what kind of newt. what is the latin name for it? there are hardly any newts that are tropical even if theyre from egypt which is warmer! like my toads are egyptian but they dont like warm temps!!

china i think is relativly quite warm - fire bellied newts dont like warm water?

does his newt have someting to climb out onto whenever it wants?

in this tropical aquarium are there other fish?
