Im starting a tank but i may wait till july and GCSEs are over

Perhaps F8 puffers (whatever those are) are an exception to the rule

I have no idea what an f8 puffer is. (Is it the tiny button in between F7 and F9? )

Figure 8 Puffer, fits the normal Puffer temperment, they get pretty big. I wouldn't put them with the clowns.

by clowns do you mean loaches or clown fish? F8's are low salinity fish anyway, so there is no way they can be put together

no plan to put the figure of 8's in this tank will get another tank for them or the marine tank.

F8's are Brackish arent they (SG of around 1.005)

what lighting rig would you guys reccomend for this tank MH or T8 etc

On a 2' tank? I'd do a bank of 4 T5s if I could, second choice would be a bank of 2 PCs, and third choice would be a 175watt halide.

just ordered the M620. now all i need to do is order lighting and a refractometer. will my heater thats there atm be ok for the tank its and old old thing or is it best to order a new one? thanks james

I'd order a new one before I started putting expensive livestock in the tank... Last thing you need is a failed heater killing everything living in the tank either from over-temp or electrocution
