What sort of camera do you use?

Its a Sony P-71 Cybershot. Its great for up close shots but you need to stand about 12" back from the glass to get a good shot. The macro mode is great otherwise as is the spot metering. If the fish is at the back in the shade its very dificult to get a good steady pic cos I dont use flash and the zoom makes it almost impossible to focus at short distances. Flash is disabled in macro mode anyway. Besides with flash, it only comes out washed out, like the first pic of the Panaque.

By the way I think a forum in here on taking better pics of fish/aquariums would be a great idea, I'd love to hear other peoples advice and learn more about f numbers and the like. Think I might post a poll in chat!!
I couldnt find such a forum anywhere on the net but if anyone knows one....

Thinking of buying my Dad a Canon A70 3.1 megapixel camera for Christmas (then I can nick it to take pics of my aquarium and fish!).

Hopefully I'll achieve the same level of results you have....

The powershot looks like a nice cam, I would love to upgrade mine to something with a better zoom. Other than that the sony is great for catching the fishies when they think no-one's looking!
