New To Marine

ok, so im getting a new tank in july time and i'm having a debate wether to stay tropical or go marine.I really like marine fish but have no idea what the requarments are.So can anyone help me on the list below,it will be much appreciated;
The size of the tank U.K measurements
The type of filtration need examples will be excellent although to a small budget
The equipment needed such as and R.O Units espacailly skimmers beacuse im not sure if you really need one
The time it will take before i can put fish into the tank
The average cost of running a tank per week, including the water treatments and food etc.

Well Nathan, a lot of those questions are heavily dependent on what size aquarium you choose. Small tanks are significantly cheaper to operate, but more difficult to get water chemistry optimal. My first advice to you would be to read through the nano section stickies to get an idea for what you're up against . Make sure you look through the members thread for some ideas and inspiration
