New To Marine, Want To Set Up A Nano

I always recomend using two powerheads because it will save you a lot of trouble down the road. For starters you can have one permanantly fixd up on the surface keeping the surface clean and giving good aeration and the second one will provide flow for your tank. Also later down the line when you run into cyano I found that direct flow to the afflicted area is the only reliable treatment but you cant sort it out properly with just the one powerhead as you need it for 60 other things :p. But as people have said you should make your mind up as to what you intend on keeping in this tank because that way the hardware you need will be a lot easier to determine.

Is the Viper actually worth the money? I understand what you mean about the extra powerhead, it wouldn't be a bad idea to look into.

Well the cheapest I can find the Viper 70watt is $170..... does it do a better job than the other two that I am looking at?

YOur looking in the wrong places then. I've found the 150w Viper for 180. And its metal halide is just what would do better because its metal halide...

Not to sound like an idiot but what are the differences between a metal halide and Compact Fluorescent?
