thanks for this. I guess the problem with an overflow box is that the lid will have to lifted up slightly to get the box to sit on top.

just a thought, would it be better to buy the rock early and leave it out dry so any baddies are killed off? i.e for a month while the tank is being drilled etc (should i decide to do that)

No the rock will die (both the good and bad) if it is left out of the water. It can take upto a year for it to become Live Rock again. Please do not buy to rock yet. Plus if you are buying your rock from a break down it shouldnt have any nasties on it!

im just getting some ideas of a sump tank for use with my Juwel 125. Do you think this would be sufficent?

Also can you recommend a good drill peice and pipe work to fit the holes once drilled?
