new to fish keeping

hi i am new to fish keeping and have resently perchesd a 125gl tank it has one pair of kribs one pair of keyhole cichlids one pair of severums and two angles 6 congo tetras 1 kissing gourami one pleco these fish were in the tank when i perchesed it.

the fish are all small the kribs are 3" the keyholes, severumsand congo tetras are 1.5" and the angles are 3" my pleco is 14" and the kissing gourami is 4" long i was just wondering if there is going to be any problems with this setup as the fish grow and mature. i would also like to know if theer would be room for more cichlids and if so what would you suggest. and my kribs have just layed there first set of eggs for me

the filtration consists of two powerheads two fluval 4 plus and ehem ecco filter

2 main things you need to know there: You have South American fish, and the severums get pretty darn big. What problems or additions? Hmm....

My experience with SA cichlids is limited to just a few sp. It seems like you have a balanced system there right now, with two potential problems I can see. The first *might* be the severums; I'm very unsure on that

however. All I hear about them is that they are pretty docile for SA cichlids, BUT, that's just hear-say. I've never kept any. So I would research those quite a bit if I were you. The second, and more likely problem you might have, would be fin-nipping on the angel fish. I have kept all the rest of those fish, except the keyholes. Just about eve

every fancy-finned fish I've had has suffered a little nipping. What I would recommend here is just to watch closely. If you see the angel's fins getting ragged, you'll have to find out who's doing it, then dig up a little info on that particular fish's aggression. There's usually at least a few options on things you can do to minimize it.
