Ok, done a 75% water change.

PH 7.6
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5.0

Tap PH is 6.8

I have a fluval plus 4 filter - it has been set at the lowest setting. I think it has been like this since I got the tank - so I have moved it to the most full + position incase it has not been able to filter the water enough on the lowest setting??

I don't believe the API Nitrate(NO3) test has any 10minute periods for any of the stages of the test. Seens like there's a 30 second shake, a 1 minute shake (seems like forever when you're doing it) and then a 5 min wait. Its good to use reasonably accurate timings and always take your reading at the proper time, other times have no meaning.
