New Tank Setup, New Betta, PICS!

Found the topic! That is so clever! I am doing it tomorrow on one of the filters I have that I haven't replaced with a more gentle one yet.

Congrats your tank looks great and now you can have more bettas! I have an empty 10g tank that I am planning to divide up like yours but I cant at the moment since I have no room to put it. I cant wait to do that though! I already have the 10g tank, the filter, the heater, gravel, decorations and everything, I only need the fish. I'll get the room someday to make it into 4 new bettas homes! COngrats again, you did a great job..looks great!

What a great idea.
I have some of those dividers for my boys, too (the premade ones) and it really irriates me that the flow sucks going thru them. Their water seems to get really stagnant. i'm going to get some plastic canvas and try replacing those with it. Nice idea, thanks.

oh, and your fish are beautiful, and love your setup. I have mine divided into 3 sections just like that - one boy on either side with the filter in the middle and nobody in the filter compartment.

And your new pretty boy looks like a butterfly. They're beautiful!

i'd do it IMO cause when i had a 5G filter in freckles 2.5 JEEZ i had to do the soda bottle thing then he layed inside the new thing and slept there (i made it to where the water flowed over )

Can I ask how you did it? (So that the water flowed over it?) I know that this idea works becuase so many of ya'll (hey, I'm a Southerner!) have posted about it working, but since I haven't actually tried it yet, I'm a little iffy on it! DO you have pics?

Just a hint....those canvas sheets are just a touch irritating to get into the channels. Bring arm muscles and make sure that everything is dry, otherwise you'll just be slipping and sliding your hands on it!

Very nice set up. I had talked myself out of fixing up my empty 10 gallon for a betta tank...now I'm convinced again that I should do it.
