I bought these 2 lovlies at the local fish shop.

The guy said they were dwarf cichlids so they'd be fine in a community tank in his experience. Anyone know they're common name?

Cheers,

Ben

its a 60L tank.

They seem very placid at the moment and If they know whats good for them they won't attack any of my other fish :p

If it was the male you moved to your 30l that will be because he is too small for the female. Females like males who are bigger than them and bully ones who are not.

I had the same with my non-albinos. I really do see problems in your tanks as discussed here

It seems every post I make you complain at, not just this topic but others.

Thanks for the advice but I don't think my tanks are extremely overstocked.

The krib is only in the 10G temporarily to give him a break and as it has a mirrored back he will get more confident in seeing another male etc.

Just give me a breack Cheese, I'm not wanting to overstock my tanks but i believe they are not overstocked currently. I have seen much more cramped tanks than mine.

Ben

p.s. as for sexing i don't know, i've been told different things by different people, Most agreed that i have 2 males but I thought i had a male and a female.

How so? I barely even reply to your topics. You put up questions but then do not listen to the answers. Now that is annoying.

Your tanks would not be overstocked if they were not cichlids that you shoved into them.

But of course, you know all about them having done your research first don't you? Well, 'no' would be the answer to that because if you had you would know and understand that kribs are not suitable for such small tanks. They may be dwarf cichlids but they are still cichlids. One male may have been ok but certainly not a pair and you're going to have to wait for the male to grow before he will go in with the female ok.

I am not trying to get at you but you are obviously not reading advice that was given in a nice manner. Instead you take the hump and attack me saying that I complain. Would it be better if I told you all was hunky dory at the same time as telling someone's 40l is fine with a bala and a common plec?!

It's up to you.

I was only being honest and trying to explain. I keep kribs and I know what they can be like, I had to move my non-albino female to the sick tank permanently because of how aggressive she was to all the fish and that was in the 68l.

I really do think you'll have problems. I mean you might be lucky but it's not likely. The one on the 30l will not have enough room (I understand it's temporary) but won't be anle to go in the bigger tank until he grows and the female accepts him. Your female might get very aggressive with the fish in the 60l.
