To all salties....at one point our section had 3 moderators: Great Lakes, Navarre and myself. I miss them both but they have been busy. Like everyone, from time to time, life catches up with us. Reportedly, Nav will be back soon. Everyone has their areas of expertise. Great Lakes and Navarre are large tank marine aquarists and Navarre particularly was good with design, plumbing and sumps. As most know, my area of interest is nano reefs and I hope at some point to have a pico and perhaps even a coldwater system of my area of the North Atlantic.

Just wanted to let you know that I am aware of our section's needs and wish to keep us an active, growing and happy community. So, with luck, we will have a new moderator of the salt section soon. :good: SH

Heh, yeah I miss Nav a fair bit. Nice to see a new shot of your tank SH :)

I also vote skifeltch as he's been around quite awhile and does offer good advice (not saying everybody else dont!) and he is always actively taking part in the forum. ;)

Yup, he's helped me out tons :good:

But that's not really what modding is. No offense, Ski. But you can still answer posts and stuff without being a mod. :)

i vote either Ski or Lynden because they are both very helpful

Guys.. people can still be helpful without being a mod.
My vote is for Lynden. Cause he DOES get into all of those debates and stuff... I never see Skifletch arguing about tidal pools and water changes. But then I never see Lynden answering questions about chemistry. I think Lynden would be a better mod than Ski, because there's a lot more arguments about if triggers are reef safe than you do about water chemistry. Lynden would help to put down some of those myths with all of the reef safe stuff. I still think Ski would be a great mod, I just think Lynden would be more effective. I hope you understand. :)

i do sense some hypocrisy.....

The fact everyone thinks that their thoughts really matter on this truly roffles my waffles.

Potential new mods are discussed by the existing mods before William (and only William) decides on whether they can or cannot be a mod. People can type about what they feel it takes to be a mod till their fingers are worn down to stubs, won't make any difference.

So seriously people, just chill and see where we end up. ;)

Noted. SH
