New Rubber-lipped Pleco

I just got a rubbed-lipped pleco a few days ago, and was wondering if I need to get algae wafers for her. I had some algae growing on the south side of my tank (size of a quarter or so), and noticed it was gone (she's the only fish that would have taken care of it). Will this natural algae be enough for her, or should I get her some of those wafers? What alot of writing for such a short question..lol

It sounds like you will need to give some additional food to your pleco. Algae wafers are good. You could also try feeding it some zucchini or cucumber.

Oh that's great! I already put cucumber in there for my snail and other fish. I think i'll still get the wafers though...thanks
