I was lucky enough to get my hands on an Imperial Ranger Plec courtesy of smithrc on here last week.

She has settled in nicely and divides her time between a couple of slate caves in the tank.

I managed to get a half decent picture at last and hope that I will be able to get a few more as she settles in more

Here she is:

Also I have had a small BN in my tank for about 4 months now, bought from the LFS at about an inch long, now about 2 and a half inches. I always thought it was likely to be a female as there was no sign of bristles at all but over the last 3 or 4 weeks I have noticed a few so I am fairly sure it is a male. Just waiting for a few more bristles to confirm for certain. It does look like a male doesn't it?

If it does definitely turn out to be a male then I will probably let my male starlight L182 go as there may be too many male ancistrus (also gives me an excuse to get my hands on a more exotic plec :good: ). Here is a pic, anybody potentially interested?

Nice, Andy. So what plecs do you have? If I could I would have room for some of your plecs, but wrong continent. Are those nice long bristles on that starlight?

Good to see Pictures :)

I think you've got it the wrong way round.... get rid of the common BN and find a female starlight :) :)

You don't seem to see many L182s for sale so I'm not sure how I could get hold of a female.

Also I have grown really attached to my common ancistrus pair and the little fella in the second picture (although I may let him go after he's grown a bit more)
I need to get a picture of the big male Bristlenose, he is a monster!

Looking to create a bit more space for another plec or two, quite keen on the L128s at the moment.
