no-one has been able to prove a max size though... lots of argueing but no proof - Planet catfish says 8" others say 18"...

the LFS said 7" but its a common problem. Everyone says rainbow sharks only to 6" but a zoo near me used to have some over 1' nearl 2'

I hope it doesn't grow to 18" I deffinatly need a massive tank for him. but then I have nig ideas for my tanks when I move out. my poly tank will be my community, and my current community will house a rainbow snakehead, If I can get hold of one but thats in a year or so's time.

well just an update on my L001, he/she was about 1" when I bought it, nearly a month ago, and it now clocking on for 3" maybe a little more or little less.

Its grown REALLY fast, I have a bulldog plec in one of my other tanks and he hasn't grown very much at all?
where as my Bristlenose in my 30gallon tank has stormed from under 1" to near on 4" since I got her, can't remember how long ago it was
