Olive, the carb is in my large green carpet. Its one of my favorite sites to visit in the tank. It is truly amazing how they interact and care for each other. When I put the crab in the tank, I placed him by the carpet. He has never left it. I have even watched him fend off an arrow crab that was poking around a little too close. It was a 5 min. battle with the little porcilin crab holding onto a leg that got too close to his buddy the carpet! Hey, Dont mess with the carpet man! :sly:

I am new at corals, what exactly are green carpets????

I love your little neon gobies! Do you just have the two? Do they always hang out together? I just read last night that they like to be in shoals of six or more?!?!

Do you notice them cleaning the other fish? I am getting one soon, thought maybe I should get two just to keep them happy? Was told they keep any small ich infestations down..................anything to keep that from happening!

What is that second photo of? You have a very neato and diverse tank!!!!! :hyper:

Olive, green carpets are carpet anemones. They are called that because they have many very short tentacles, giving them the appearance of a carpet or a rug.

I got the gobies at a different LFS than normal, the staff tried to tell me they would fight if kept in the same tank. As you can plainly see from the photo, Wow, look at them battle it out. :p They get along very well.
They act like male and female, but are not of the same type. This has got me hopefull that they might mate. My neighbor pointed out that yellow and blue make green. :X   I just have the 2, the blue I gave $15.00 for and the yellow $20.00. I would like to get more, but ouch....
Oh, the second photo is of my sea squirt, "Squirt" we like to call him, but he has yet to respond when called. :sly:
Oh, I moved the Sohol and the gobies to my reef, the tang will still go to them for cleaning, but is looking great! I wish I could say the same for the powder blue, he is doing better after a relaps, his eye got injured somehow and he lost it shortly after, it all happened so quickly, there was nothing I could really do, just trying to keep it from getting infected now. He is doing well today, eatting a swimming about.

LOL thats awsome. (both storys)

Is Squirt... interesting? worth it?... hmm like,,, do I want one some day?

Well, they dont really do anything. Just open and close valves, but they are kind of cool, I like mine and it didn't cost me anything.
