I did test my tap water for Ammonia and it came out to zero.
 
Could it be that the Colombo Florabase or the wood has something to do with the presence of Ammonia? A silly question maybe...

welcome, i find this funny as ive got the same tank and went for a very similar thing with a tree but its going very slowwwwllly as i need the moss to grow but
