He has a tail very much like a delta and is a bright light blue, black and a little bit of red. He is absolutely adorable and the only delta in the whole store, the rest were VTs, and he was only $4.99 :good:

I went to the thrift store today to see if they had any second hand tanks and I found this BEUATIFUL large glass punch bowl for $7 so I purchased that and added a few black stones in the bottom along with sand and a few fake plants and that is now my betta's new home. :D

I will take pictures later today.

Need to think of a name for now.

I am working on DIY lid right now just for safety measures. :good:

Cute new boy! ^_^ His tank is really nice, he must be super happy. I can't tell from the pics if he's a VT or a Delta. The best way to tell is to visually cut his tail in halves xP if each half is identical, he's a Delta.

Well he was the only betta in the store with a tail like his. I am not sure what he is though. His tail is a little long, but really rounded at the end.

He's probably a VT. It's not all that uncommon to see a round tailed VT, I had one for the longest time. I can't really see the pics that well but he could also be a delta, VT cross.

He's really cute ^_^ I can't tell if thats a plastic or silk plant, but if its plastic you'll want to check him for rips or tears in his fins probably about once a day.

You should get a filter and heater for him, you wont have to do water changes as much as you will if he doesnt have a filter and also you should get him a heater to regulate temperature. you probably already know that I'm just making sure. He's a cool little betta.

one of the plants is plastic but it is very smooth and doesn't have rough edges at all, the other is silk/fabric. I check his tail regularly for any sign of tearing or anything.

I live in florida so the water constantly stays at 78 in my room BUT I do have a heater (which is a little large for the bowl) that I use if it gets any colder or starts to lower, so I can keep the temperature the same.

I don't really want a filter as it would create a lot of current in a bowl that small. I might make a sponge filter if I can figure out how. Not sure though.

I don't mind doing water changes. So far I have been doing water changes every 2 or 3 days.

he is so cute...you sure do love him!
yes he is so adorable and is getting used to me and coming up to the glass whenever I lay in bed ( the bowl is right next to the bowl) He is still name-less though. Can't seem to find a right name for him.

The bowl is right next to the bowl??? Hehe, he looks lovely. Love the tank, its different. YOur the kind of person that I love your style but couldn't think of it myself!!!

If you look on the D-I-Y forum you can find how to make an easy spone filter.
