New Lfs Employee

If I worked at a lfs, I would try to persuade the owner to have a half dozen or so different flyers printed off to explain or at least introduce some of the basics to beginners or other ignorant fish keepers. Topics would include the nitrogen cycle, proper tank maintenance routines, avoiding mini-cycles, and other important topics. Heck, most of the stickies around here would make a great pamphlet at a lfs. I just think its a shame that most of them sell you a new setup and provide no education about the basics of the hobby.

congrats cane, hope you really enjoy it. :good:

sadly all the lfs's round here will pay you diddly squat, I'd love to do it but couldn't afford my mortgage

I've had the same around here, one shop that i wont name actually wanted me to take over as manager of one of his branches but when we discussed a pay package i would have been having to take a pay cut of around 5 thousand a year which was just too much to swallow.

Good luck in your new job Cain, i'm sure you will find it very enjoyable.

thanks everyone
i am really enjoying it and learning so much
thing is when i get home i dont wanna go anywhere near my own tanks
