Agreed, it is the accepted norm. However, and I realise I'm running the risk of sounding like a pompous twonk here, it is the case that the erroneous use of the plural "forums" has been so common, it has, as you say, become accepted. Accepted does not necessarily mean correct.
 
Obviously, language is a constantly evolving thing. How long does it take for a constantly-repeated error to become right? Dunno.
 
Oh and by the way, I wasn't being serious about you lot registering a new doman. That would be silly.

1. You are pompously correct the-lock-man BUT...sadlly or gladly (I often feel the former) neologisms are here to stay, especially in the English language which is about as flexible as it gets. AND I knew you weren't serious.
2. I added Horses, Farm, & Work Animals to the Other Pets area so now there is a place to post about the larger animals you might not keep in your hose. That said, if you keep an aardvark let me know and I'll create an Exotic area but only for aardvarks.

lol, I was only joking about the horse section - I personally think there should be just the section for 'other pets' incorporating all other pets, but hey, better go and start a post about my horse now...

It's there in classifieds once you click on a location.
To be honest that whole area is a mess and is going to be redone. It's possible that it will start from scratch and people will have to repost their items for sale. Not sure on that one yet, it all depends on how well and easily it can be cleaned up. Sometimes, especially for a transient section like sales, starting over is best.

I'm sure you're aware but its not working at the moment. I'd be inclined to just leave the top sections under classified as UK, US & Canada and Other. Then have the sub categories below that. Might make it look a bit less cluttered.

I want to delete it all and have just categories about what is for sale with location just being part of the form filled out. If someone in the UK wants to sell to someone in the US and are willing to ship so be it if not they can keep looking. It's ugly as it is so I'm still pondering what to do with this one. I think drastic measures might be needed.

i really think we should do away with the sales form.its just a pain,and it stops wasted posts when people post you will need to use sales format or it may be removed.quite straight forward what you need to write when selling someting

Personally, I'm not familiar with forums using such a form for sales threads so I'm not sure of the benefits of it. But I wonder if it's 6 of one half dozen of the other because without the form we get extra posts asking for information that would be there if they used the form?
