That's a good point, I guess I just assumed they would grow as quickly as my current ones have. I think I'll get 50 for now and see if it still looks sparse once the plants have grown a little.

I went down to my lfs on the weekend and managed to get 20 plants for £4 10 are elodea and the others I'm pretty sure are cabomba, although they were unlabelled in the shop.

Ok for one thing the whole if u don't get a huge tank your fish,s guts are gonna explode thing has been taken to an unesicary extreme and goldfish r just messy fish so u need a good filter and try some pleco's to remove algae. Your size is good they will adapt to the size of he tank and should be fine
