I have just got a new tank that i pick up 2 morra it's ;

length :3ft
width: 1"
height 1" 6'

How long would you recomend i cicle it for?

In my current fish tank i have:

1 male guppy 1 female
3 female 1 male baloon molly'ss
4 neon tertra's

I am wondering what other fish would get that will get on with my current fish.

thanks

Cycle your tank untill the water stats are correct.

Do you know the in's and out's of cycleing and ammonia and stuff?

There is no set time for a cycle it is just however long it takes for the bacteria in your filter to develope enough to process 5ppm of ammonia in 12hrs

If your current fish tank is cycled, then moving the filter into the would help with the cycle.

ok thanks. dont realy know anything about the cycleing. with out current tank we left it a week and then put the fish in with not cheking the water. but with the big tank im getting to day i want to make sure my fish dunt die wen i put them in :)

thanks

How long has your current tank been set up ? When you go to collect new tank tomorrow Nip into your nearest Pet shop and pick up an API Test kit ...Not the test strips as they can be very inaccurate . Most of us on here use the API test your water and let us know the readings.

If your current tank has been set up for a while i don't see any problem with transferring existing filter over to new tank along with existing stocking ...I would advise against adding any new stock until you find out your water results as you said you don't want any to die

Any other questions feel free to ask

:D
