New Fish Tank Ideas

just got a tetra 30L for £10
ive already put some fine black gravel, and planted 4 little plants (look like tiny trees)

im thinking...
shrimp tank / strange creature tank

any suggestions?

Go for shrimp tank.

There are loads of variety that you can get and they are pretty cool. Working on the wife to let me setup a shrimp tank.

ive decided to go for a shrimp tank (kinda)

lots of shrimp:
cherry
amano
bamboo
*anything i see later on that makes me go "ooooooooo"

some guppies,
and maybe 1-2 random fish that i dont even know yet

ive got something better than shrimp....CRAYFISH!!! yes there are small 1-1 1/2" crayfish varieties out there that are commonly sold on aquabid and other stores. Dwarf cajun (spelling? haha) crays i have found to be pretty cheap for a breeding pair, while the bright orange red CPO dwarf crays can reach hefty prices but yet more stunning in color than the cajun crays. These dwarf crays will not eat plants unlike larger crayfish species, and are not aggressive/ will not intentionally hunt down fish. basically their just bigger beefier cooler shrimp!

Sparkling Gourami's, Micro Rasbora's and Pygmy Corydoras Cats.

It's like a mini fish setup Might be a bit of a stretch in an 8gal, but would be okay in my opinion.
