New Fish For Andy

Durbkat - the shrimp don't usually sit out of the tank although a previous one went for a walk through the house about a year ago and we found him on the kitchen floor. Luckily we didn't have the cats then.

Anyway, they were being transferred into the tank as we only picked them up today I took the opportunity to take a rare pitcure of them as they have a habit of hiding so you can never get goods pics. He was only out for about ten seconds then he went straight in and has not been seen since.

You are so lucky to have snakeheads! I wish they were legal in America!

How do you know if they sit out of the water like that often?

Why aren't they legal in america?

Cos if they sat out like that then we would see them on the bracer bar. We instead see them hiding on the underneath of bog wood with just the fans extended to catch food.

Why aren't they legal in america?

Due to the fact that some species can survive American winters (even as cold as some more Northern states such as New York) and have the ability to wip out local aquatic wildlife. The difficulty in iddentifying young snakeheads helped them decide to ban all of them from being imported.
