So i have a 4x2x2 tank, in it i have 20 cardinals, 2 electric blue rams, 2 keyholes and 9 discus. I had 7 but bought 2 more.

the 2 new discus i bought were in different tanks in the shop not even close to each other. i have had them in my tank for just over 1 week, they stay pretty close together. i noticed friday night they were staying close to one corner of the tank, so before bedtime i took a look at them to see why, i noticed that they were spawning eggs on my giant valis, the giant valis tho is next to my new filter i installed about 10 hours before, a fluval fx5. the filter intake was sucking in some of the eggs as they didnt seem to stick to the valis to well. They were doing this for 30mins laying about 10-15 eggs a time with the male trying to figure out what to do. i woke up the next morning and they were gone, obviously eaten.

has anyony known discus to spawn this fast after meeting and on giant vallis aswell?

is it very stressfull for the fish if i jsut leave them in the community tank, i dont want to raise any discus yet.

my plant is planted well and 2 weeks ago i installed co2. I have alot more plants arriving soon so in a month or 2 i will have a jungle in there.

mine paired up in 2 weeks of been in the tank they spawned on plant next the the filter inlet i just let mine get on with it dont tend to get stressed out with it takes abit of time for them to get it right so if u want to breed them some time just let the male find out what he is ment to do thats what i am doin.

If you get rid of the eggs they should go back to normal. No, it's not stressful as long as they aren't beating the junk out of any of the other fish.
