New Corys For Me !

I remember now you saying your Sterbai were spawning. Were you able to raise those fry?? I can't get mine to spawn. They just point blank refuse. They do the jiggy dance, but nothing ever comes of it. And I find it very difficult to sex them. You think one is female, then not too sure. they're about 2-2.5 inches now, had them nearly a year.

Yeah, I think they must have been albolineatus that I saw yesterday. Very cute little things.

Aaw, I can just imagine what albino sterbai and schwartzi fry would look like. They'd be too cute. Good luck with those breeding projects.

Your camera sounds expensive. Is it a belated Christmas pressie?? I got an Olympus SP510 last October, took me a while to get good pics with it. They are so complicated now. Problem is, it's so chunky the fish see it coming and swim away  .

Well, once again, gorgeous cories, I'm very jealous.

Speak soon
Carmen :D

what sort of temp are you keeping your sterbai in at the moment? it took mine a fare while to spawn. I ended up upping the temp to 29degree and then doing cold water changes twice aday and they just went beserk.

I have raised many of the fry and sold some on, and i currently have about 10 in one of my discus tank. they love it :)

I have needed a new cam for some time. the one i had was only a 2MP that i got about 100,000 years ago. I was going to get a Canon Ixus 65, but someone on another forum i go advertised this one, and i asked a friend (who is a camera geek) what he thought of it and his excat words were

" IF YOU DONT BUY IT AT THAT PRICE, GIMMIE HIS DETAILS AND I WILL BUY IT!"

suffice to say i bought it LOL

I thought the temp thing may be a problem. Ours is at 26 because we have pandas in with them. But I do have another tank, so either I move the pandas to that tank or the sterbai. Just depends what temp all the other fish like. I am emptying my fry tank (since trading in all those panda fry Sunday), so maybe I should move them to that tank and give it a go.

We took about 3 weeks to decide on our camera. There are FAR TOO many to choose from. But we're pretty pleased with this one.

Well done on raising the fry. Must have been a wonderful thing to experience. I've only raised bronze and panda fry to selling size and am raising a few (only 3) trili fry which I'll be keeping (they're too cute).

Your discus tank is gorgeous. Once those batteries are charged, I hope we'll get some pics of them too!!!
:hey:

I intend on taking pics of ALL my tanks. its time for some new pics of all of them as pretty much all of them have been rescapped.

My sterbai seem to have stopped spawning of late, so i might just put them back in with the other corys for the time being and use their breeding tank for something else.

Im also upgrading the cory tank you can see on those pics tomorrow from a 3ft to a 4ft and putting another cloned 4ft on the bottom of the 2 tire stand. That 3ft tank start off as a quarantine tank, but i guess it was always gonna become a cory tank LOL

Went back to the LFS today and those cories I saw weren't albolineatus, they were actually Corydoras polystictus. Gorgeous little things, very cute. I suppose they look more like the Similus, just a lot fainter with the markings.
